Richard Lederer, best-selling author and broadcaster, will make a special appearance at Canine Companions for Independence at 124 Rancho del Oro Drive in Oceanside on Monday, December 14. Beginning at 6 p.m., Lederer will discuss his new books, A TREASURY FOR DOG LOVERS and A TREASURY FOR CAT LOVERS. He will follow his remarks with a book signing. Did you know that the LCCHS library has a collection of books on tape and books on CD?  Look for the new bookshelf in the Reference section.  This collection is a work in progress so if you don’t see what you need, ask the librarian. We have a lot of tapes ready but not out for display yet.

Some suggested good times for listening to audio books:  in your car, while riding an exercise bike or walking, or any task that leaves you free to listen.
